1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Richard Athey, operating as Chipboard ("Chipboard," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information in the Fasting Roulette Android application (the "App") and on this privacy-policy page.
The App is a local-first fasting timer and survival game. It does not require registration and does not send your fasting history, game history, or settings to servers operated by us.
This page is static. It does not use analytics, cookies, advertising, or forms. If you change the website theme, your light or dark preference is saved in your browser’s local storage and is not sent to us. External services are contacted only if you choose to follow an external link.
2. Information we handle
Information stored on your device
To provide the App's features, Fasting Roulette stores the following information locally on your Android device:
- fast start, planned-end, and actual-end times; selected duration; and completion status;
- refeed timing, fasting history, streaks, and aggregate progress statistics;
- survival-game history, random outcomes, resources, and progress;
- preferences such as theme, animation, haptics, timer duration, onboarding status, and notification choices; and
- advertising consent choices stored by Google's consent tools.
Some of this information may reflect health-related habits. We do not receive it, upload it to our own servers, link it to your identity, or use it to build a profile about you.
Information you choose to send us
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you provide, such as your email address, name, message, and any attachments. We use it to respond, provide support, investigate issues, and protect the App. Please do not email sensitive health information.
Information we do not request
The App does not ask for your name, postal address, email address, phone number, date of birth, weight, medical conditions, medications, precise location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
3. Google advertising
The App uses Google Mobile Ads to display banner advertisements and Google's User Messaging Platform to request and manage advertising consent where required. At each launch, the App asks Google's consent service whether advertising is permitted and shows a consent message when required for your region. That service may process the device and consent information needed to determine and remember which privacy choices apply.
According to Google's Mobile Ads data-disclosure documentation, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- app and ad interactions, including app launches and taps;
- diagnostic information, such as crash and performance data; and
- device and account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID, app set ID, and, where applicable, identifiers related to accounts signed in on the device.
Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Depending on your consent choices, device settings, region, and eligibility, Google may serve personalized or non-personalized ads. Fasting Roulette does not give Google your locally stored fasting or game records.
Google and participating advertising partners handle information under their own policies. You can learn more from:
4. Device permissions
These permissions do not give the App access to the contents of your notifications, calendar, contacts, files, precise location, camera, or microphone.
5. How information is used and shared
Local information is used to run the timer, preserve progress, calculate statistics, restore active fasts after the App closes or the device restarts, remember settings, and schedule the notifications you choose.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your locally stored fasting history, game history, or settings with other companies. Google may process and share advertising-related information as described above. Under some privacy laws, personalized advertising may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" even when no money is exchanged.
We may disclose information you send to us if reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, prevent fraud or harm, or respond to a valid legal request. Our email provider may process support messages on our behalf.
6. Retention and deletion
- Local App data remains on your device until you reset the App's data, clear its storage in Android settings, or uninstall it.
- Android backups: depending on your device and backup settings, Android may include App data in a device or cloud backup. Backup copies are controlled by your operating-system and backup provider settings and may remain after the App is uninstalled.
- Google advertising data is retained according to Google's policies and your Google account and advertising settings.
- Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain a record of the issue, protect the App, or meet legal obligations.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
- Change notification and haptic preferences in Fasting Roulette's Settings screen.
- Revoke notifications or exact-alarm access in Android system settings.
- When Google requires a privacy-options entry for your region, open Settings > Privacy > Privacy choices in the App to review or change your advertising consent.
- Use Google My Ad Center and your Android advertising controls to manage ad personalization and your advertising ID.
- Delete local App data by clearing Fasting Roulette's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the App. Manage any device backups separately through your Android or Google backup settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. For information held directly by us, such as a support email, contact us using the address below. For information controlled by Google, use Google's privacy and account controls or contact Google.
8. Security
Keeping core records on your device limits their exposure to us. Access to those records depends on the security of your device, Android backups, and any accounts connected to those backups. Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
Fasting Roulette is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 or under the applicable age of digital consent in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.
Fasting can carry health risks and may not be appropriate for minors. The App provides a timer, game, and general educational descriptions; it does not provide medical advice or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App, third-party services, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the effective date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or its store listing when appropriate.
